RV Safety: Because Adulting is Hard Enough.

Alright, buckle up, buttercup, because this is the story of how a Gen Xer got hooked on RVs and became a safety nut (in the best possible way, of course).

Picture this: it's the late '80s/early '90s. Big hair, neon colors, and the faint scent of Aqua Net fill the air. I'm rocking a Walkman (cassette tapes, people!), probably listening to some Def Leppard or Bon Jovi, and dreaming of… well, not RVs, actually. Back then, it was more about cruising in my buddy's IROC-Z. Fast forward a few (okay, maybe more than a few) years, and life happens. Kids, responsibilities, the whole nine yards. Suddenly, the idea of escaping the daily grind, hitting the open road, and seeing the country started to sound REALLY appealing.

Enter: The RV.

At first, I was a little intimidated. This wasn't my buddy's Camaro. This was a house on wheels! But the first time I fired up that engine and hit the highway, windows down, wind in my (now considerably less voluminous) hair, something clicked. It was the freedom, man. Pure, unadulterated freedom.

But here’s the Gen X kicker: I’m also a pragmatist. I remember the Challenger explosion, and I know that things can go wrong. So, while I was loving the open road, I also became obsessed with RV safety. I mean, nobody wants their vacation to turn into a scene from a disaster movie.

Now, I’m not talking about being a buzzkill. I’m not going to be that guy at the campground, nitpicking everyone's setup (unless you’re seriously about to set your awning on fire, then I might have to say something). No, I’m talking about sharing the knowledge, the tips, the tricks that can make RVing safer and more enjoyable for everyone. Because let's be real, a little bit of planning and preparation can prevent a whole lot of "uh-oh" moments.

I want everyone to experience the same joy I get from RVing, without the added stress of worrying about safety. I want families to create lasting memories, couples to reconnect, and solo adventurers to find their own path, all while staying safe on the road.

So, here we are. This website is my way of sharing my passion for RVing and my (slightly obsessive) dedication to safety. I promise to keep it real, keep it fun, and keep it informative. Because at the end of the day, we’re all in this together, trying to make the most of this amazing adventure called life.
